About Us

Who we are

We are an evangelical congregation within the Presbyterian Church in Ireland (PCI). We are overseen by our Session (five ruling elders and our minister as teaching elder), by the Presbytery of Armagh, and by the General Assembly of the PCI. Our Mission & Vision

Our mission is to magnify Christ by making disciples in Ahorey and beyond.

Our Vision is to see Christ praised in Ahorey and beyond as our church overflows with disciple-making disciples of all ages who, equipped by the exposition and example of godly leaders, gather to edify each other and scatter to evangelise those outside through the prayerful speaking of the Word of God.

Our History

Our congregation was established in 1786 from the congregation of Markethill. Many ministers, elders and members have served the Lord through the generations. While we do not live in the past, we are thankful for our history. Looking to Jesus, we walk into the future surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses (Hebrews 12:1-2).

What we believe

We believe the Bible to be the holy and inerrant Word of God and hold dearly to the exposition of its doctrines in the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms.
